PEOPLE

MEET OUR TEAM

Josh

Owner

Over a decade ago, my wife and I walked into a CrossFit gym with no expectations—just an open mind. One class changed everything. I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and completely hooked. In that moment, I committed not just to CrossFit, but to a better version of myself.

Coming from a medical background, I’ve seen what happens when people put their health last. I’ve also seen how powerful it is when someone finally decides to take control. Helping others has always been at the core of who I am, and CrossFit became the way I cared for my own health—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Within months, I was doing things I never thought possible. I grew stronger, faster, and more confident. That journey led me to competition and eventually to earning my CrossFit Level 1 certification in 2013. Coaching quickly became more than a role—it became my purpose. In 2014, I expanded my education with USA Weightlifting and CWC certifications.

In 2015, I became a father. Juggling a career in the medical field, coaching, and family life forced me to face a hard truth—I was missing moments I could never get back. So in 2016, I took a leap of faith and opened CrossFit East Providence.

The early years weren’t easy. I worked long days, welcomed my second child, and poured everything I had into building something meaningful. What grew was more than a gym—it became a community rooted in support, accountability, and belief. At CrossFit East Providence, we don’t just build strong bodies—we build confidence, resilience, and mental strength.

In 2024, I returned to the competition floor through Olympic weightlifting. That year, I won the New England Regional Championship, earned silver at the USA National Championships, and became a World Champion in Finland—setting multiple state and national records along the way.

This journey is deeply personal. CrossFit East Providence is my dream realized—and my commitment to helping others discover what they’re capable of, one day at a time.
